There are currently more than 100 roundabouts in Michigan with more planned each year.īelow are several resources to help drivers understand these intersections better and navigate through them safely. And whether you like them or not, this new intersection format is definitely an adjustment for drivers. Roundabouts are popping up all over Michigan. Concurrent with the tunnel mining, crews will complete the pump station north of 12 Mile Road in preparation to accept the tunnel drainage.Valuable tips, advice and maps to help drivers navigate roundabouts throughout Michigan Once the TBM has completed mining operations, it will be removed from the ground allowing crews to complete drop shaft work and finalize the tunnel drainage system. The relaunch process is expected to take a few months and the TBM will continue working into the summer of 2023. The TBM was removed from the 12 Mile Road pump station and will be relaunched from the I-696 shaft construction site, proceeding south to a shaft site located near Meyers Avenue (see tunnel sequencing map ). We are happy to announce that the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) reached the 12 Mile Road Pump Station (the northern end point)! This milestone is a great accomplishment for the project and all those working to complete this drainage system. However, 11 Mile Road itself will remain open. Access from corresponding local streets will also be closed at the service drive, including access from 11 Mile Road. Northbound service drive from Lincoln Avenue to Gardenia will be closed through mid-November 2022.to 7 p.m., intermittent single lane closures on the following structures for application of specialized pavement markings. 11 Mile Road to and from northbound and southbound I-75.Eastbound and Westbound I-696 to northbound I-75.The following ramps will remain closed through mid-November:.Right lane of southbound I-75 will be closed at 13 Mile Road on Friday, Oct 13 from 9 a.m. ![]() until 6 p.m. while crews perform shoulder operations. One lane will remain open during this time. Northbound I-75 from 12 Mile Road to 8 Mile Road will have a single right lane closure Saturday, October 29th from 6 a.m. I-75 has lane restrictions in place however, two lanes remain open in each direction, 8 Mile Road (M-102) to 14 Mile Road, through mid-November 2022.
